Turkey protest: role of MEPs and Turkish bid to join EU

MEPs have called on the Turkish government to be be less heavy-handed with protesters on the streets after a dispute about a park in Istanbul escalated into violence.

Jo Coburn was at the European Parliament in Strasbourg to discuss the violence and the country's bid to join the EU with British Conservative MEP Marina Yannakoudakis and German Social Democrat Ismail Ertug.
