A woman was pinned between two cars and threatened by a dog in an Aberdeen road rage attack.

Police said a young man reversed a grey Mondeo into the 46-year-old woman after an incident at the Tesco roundabout in Bridge of Don on Saturday.

Before driving the car at the woman the man had first threatened her with a Staffordshire terrier type dog.

The woman was treated in hospital for leg injuries. Police Scotland appealed for witnesses.

The attacker was described as being in his late teens or early 20s, white, of slim build and with fair short hair.

He may have had a piercing on his left eyebrow and was wearing a grey hooded top and dark trousers.

Police said the grey Mondeo may have had faded paintwork. The man had two passengers and a sandy coloured dog in the car.
