Brazilian Bossa Nova behemoth Sergio Mendes has achieved global recognition for his version of Mas Que Nada, including a massively popular re-interpretation with the Black Eyed Peas in 2006.

In a career that's spanned nearly 50 years and over 35 albums, Mendes first gained chart success with his cover of Burt Bacharach and Hal David's The Look Of Love. He's since performed for two presidents at The White House, opened for Frank Sinatra, plus worked with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu and Justin Timberlake to name but a few.

A legend of bringing booty-shaking jazz funk to the mainstream, raved about by Gilles Peterson and unique in his ability to transform Brazilian beats in to worldwide smash hits - Glastonbury wouldn't be complete without him.
