Aung San Suu Kyi welcomes EU lifting of Burma sanctions

The Burmese opposition leader and Nobel peace prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi has welcomed the lifting of sanctions against her country by the EU.

Human rights campaigners say the move is premature.

The BBC has received video footage which shows Burmese police standing by as Buddhist gangs kill Muslims.
