Nik Wallenda tightrope walks across US river gorge

A man from a celebrated family of professional daredevils has completed a tightrope walk over the Little Colorado River Gorge near the Grand Canyon.

Nik Wallenda completed the stunt on a 2in (5cm) thick steel cable, 1,500ft (457.2m) above the ground.

The 34-year-old took almost 23 minutes to cross the gorge. Jane Frances-Kelly reports.
