Borussia Dortmund have won their last four Bundesliga games

Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus celebrated their team's first goal against Schalke by producing Batman and Robin masks.

Dortmund dominated the Ruhr derby but had to wait until the 78th minute for Gabon forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's breakthrough goal.

That prompted Aubameyang to pull out Batman headgear while Reus celebrated by donning a Robin mask.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan added the second goal before Reus secured victory.

"If you didn't know who Batman and Robin were before, you do now," joked Aubameyang afterwards.

It was Dortmund's fourth straight Bundesliga win and lifted Jurgen Klopp's side, who started February bottom of the league, into 10th spot.

"Four weeks ago we were standing here talking about the relegation battle," said Reus.

"We'll take this one game at a time. At the moment things look good but we have tough games ahead and there is still a long way to go."

In contrast, Roberto Di Matteo's Schalke, who could have climbed up to third with victory, are without a win in three league games and stay fifth in the table.

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen took advantage of Schalke's defeat to move fourth as Simon Rolfes got the only goal of the game against Freiburg.

And former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou scored with just two minutes remaining as Hertha Berlin beat sixth-placed Augsburg 1-0 to move out of the relegation zone.
