David Cameron: 'We haven't made decision to arm rebels'

Britain must offer support to moderate opposition forces in Syria to prevent extremist groups becoming the only alternative to the current regime, the UK prime minister has said.

Answering questions on the BBC's World Have Your Say programme, David Cameron insisted that no decision has been made by Britain to arm the opposition in Syria.

The UK is offering technical assistance and training to some elements of the opposition.
