Australia asylum rules hit Sri Lanka migrants

The impact of tough new Australian immigration rules is being felt in Sri Lanka, as more and more Sri Lankans who flee to seek asylum are finding themselves back on home soil and destitute.

Since the war in Sri Lanka ended four years ago, thousands of Sri Lankans, mostly Tamils, have tried to leave the country - but Australia is now forcibly deporting planeload after planeload.
