'This is hope' - Alzheimer's patient Roz Underwood on new drug
Alzheimer’s patients are eagerly awaiting data on the most promising drug targeted at the disease.
"This is hope," said Roz Underwood, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year and now has to write some thoughts down as she can’t express them.
“I feel very trapped."
Her husband, Jeremy, said they were both frightened about the future.
“That isolation is increasing, and in recent days she’s gone down very low, and thinking about the final end which is too devastating to think about.”
Mrs Underwood said she was increasingly depressed and desperate for the drug to be approved to give her a chance of reversing her decline.
