Yazidi woman describes being sold to IS fighter as a sex slave

A Yazidi woman who managed to escape from Islamic State extremists says her captor “had another wife who was British” - who stood by while she was raped and beaten.

35-year-old ‘Ferida‘ was captured with hundreds of other Yazidi women and girls at the base of Mount Sinjar last year.

She was sold to an IS fighter as a sex slave and taken to Syria.

“He had another wife who was British,” said Ferida. “He didn’t tell me her name. All I know is that IS bought this woman from Europe to have sex with her. She looked like she was in her twenties.”

“He forced me to have sex with him and he would beat me with a plastic pipe. The British woman knew about this but didn’t do anything – she didn’t even tell him to stop,” she added.
