BB King: Jools Holland pays tribute to 'gentleman' blues star

Musician and presenter Jools Holland has paid tribute to the legendary blues star BB King, calling him "one of the most charming people you could ever meet".

King, 89, had been suffering ill health in recent months and died in his sleep in Las Vegas.

Holland praised King's influence on generations of artists and his unique playing and singing style.

"What every musician would want is to have something so they're identifiable - from 100 yards you know it's them playing.

"And even somebody who knew nothing about music you can recognise it's BB King singing and playing," he said.
