Ukraine conflict: How is the country coping one year on?

Services have been held in Ukraine to mark the anniversary of the mass protests which sparked the downfall of former president Viktor Yanukovych, and the lives which have been lost in the ensuing conflict.

US Vice-President Joe Biden, on a visit to the country, accused Russia of a "flagrant violation" of international law.

Fighting for control of parts of eastern Ukraine is believed to have claimed around 4,300 lives with no sign of an end to it.
