Chelsea's former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas: "I won't deny that it was special day for me. Last night I thought about many moments and I'm glad it ended this way.

BBC Radio 5 live's Rob Nothman asked Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho about the chants of 'boring boring Chelsea' at the end of the game. This was the response:

"I don't think it was boring Chelsea. I think it was boring something else. The fans want to win it and they took Giroud off. The fans wanted Walcott and Giroud on together. I don't think it was boring Chelsea, it was boring Arsenal."

Bayern Munich clinched their third consecutive Bundesliga title courtesy of Wolfsburg's 1-0 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Pep Guardiola's side beat Hertha Berlin 1-0 on Saturday to put them within sight of the title.

Wolfsburg had to beat Gladbach, who move up to third, to make Bayern wait another week for their 25th title, but lost to an injury-time Max Kruse goal.

Treble-chasing Bayern are in the Champions League and German Cup semis.

They will have little time to celebrate this success as they face rivals Borussia Dortmund in the last four of the domestic cup on Tuesday.

Was that John Terry's finest ever performance as Jose Mourinho said?

He didn't win a single tackle but made 13 clearances. The most in the game.

Bournemouth are facing Bolton on Monday night and a win would all but guarantee the Cherries a place in the Premier League.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho tells Match of the Day: "We want to win. We tried to win. But the game was difficult, against a very good team and it was not possible to win. We had a game plan - in the first half we were very dangerous, in spite of Arsenal making lots of fouls to stop counter attacks.

"Second half we were less dangerous. But the team was very solid. We know we need five points (it's actually six Jose) to be champions. It is not for us to gamble at the end of the game. Arsenal took off Olivier Giroud near the end and maybe Arsenal are happy to be second and happy with a point."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "We produced a performance that was requested. In the first half we played with the right intensity but we lacked the right decisions. In the second half our intensity dropped and it was too comfortable for Chelsea.

"In the final few minutes we had dangerous situations and we have regrets about some chances. Both teams defended well and lacked something in the final third.

"Look, they had an appeal for a penalty in the first half when the referee played advantage but I would have to look at them again."

Is Cesc Fabregas the type to dive? "You don't have to be a certain type of player to try and win a penalty in a massive game.

"I believe that we played with the handbrake on at times. We were conscious of being hit on the counter attack and it was important not to lose. We were still on a strong run.

"Chelsea will be champions. We know that. It is impossible to lose it now."

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho also says that Oscar is in hospital having a scan after his collision with goalkeeper David Ospina.

I've seen a few people commenting on Mesut Ozil's performance again so it's worth pointing out that Ozil had the most touches (107) and created the most chances (four) in this game.

Wrighty says: "Arsenal took too long going forward. There wasn't enough energy or pace. Arsenal needed to be able to break the lines with intricate play. Chelsea fans should be delighted though."

Rob, Woodford Green: It's fashionable not to like Chelsea but if AC Milan did that, we'd all be praising their discipline. It's awkward that Chelsea had more shots on target. Arsenal not good enough.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho: "It is a point. We need five to be Champions and we are in the countdown. We need points so if we get three points in the next game, we need two, if we get one, we need four. If we lose we need five. The team is very confident and playing extremely well so we know it is in our hands.

"We got what we got. I leave it to you to analyse but we performed very, very, very well. Against a team in second place with nothing to lose and everything to win. The game was under in control.

"I told John Terry in the dressing room that he made fantastic performances with me but this was his best.

"It was the best JT has ever played. It was absolutely amazing."

Arsenal recorded one shot on target in their two league fixtures combined against Chelsea this season.

Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker tells Sky Sports: "We gave everything, had a couple of chances and defended well. It was a good performance, but not enough to get the vital three points we needed to compete for first place.

"We deserved the point, but could have done better in the final third. We lacked the final pass maybe. I had a chance but I rushed myself.

"I thought the referee did a great job - he concentrated on his job.

"Maybe the title is gone but you never know, we will stay there until the end."

Are Chelsea boring or just thoroughly professional? It may be an entertainment business to some but it's ultimately a results business and you can't argue with Jose Mourinho's results. He does not lose to other big teams.

"I think Chelsea felt the only team that could feasibly catch them were Arsenal and Chelsea have nullified that threat here today.

"There's a difference between parking the bus and keeping the ball. It wasn't just clearing the ball and defending from Chelsea, they kept the ball really well today."

Arsenal can still get to 82 points so six more points will secure the title for Chelsea.

Chelsea captain John Terry: "It is a big step to where we want to go. Its not done mathematically but it's a big step. Listen, Arsenal are a very good side and they have world-class players but we nullified them.

"Everyone expected us to come and sit like we did against Manchester United but we gave it a go in the first half. Second half we kept the ball more. The referee got all of the decisions right I thought.

"We are almost there but we have a tough game against Leicester on Wednesday. It's in our hands."

Chelsea can now not win the league against Leicester on Wednesday but they could be champions next weekend when they face Crystal Palace.

"Chelsea will be delighted with their performance. Arsenal will feel they should have done more. If they had got the ball out wide to the full-backs more, they would have crossed along the deck and that's harder to deal with.

"There are some serious celebrations going on among the Chelsea players. John Terry is throwing a clenched fist towards the fans. I think that shows you what they went out to get and they got it. Arsenal did not ask enough questions."

Arsenal finally slither into life in the second half and a good cross from the left needs John Terry to meet it and fire clear. At the other end Didier Drogba shoots tamely on goal.

He needs a shake after a bit of treatment but he's OK.

Intricate, fiddly stuff from Arsenal on the edge of the box ends as Mesut Ozil turns away from a man and squeezes off a shot. It's lacking in power and an easy stop for Thibaut Courtois, but some of the passing was superb in that passage of play. Arsenal on the edge of their very best football.

This is brewing into an excellent game now. Ramires should score but he can only toe-poke a tame effort at David Ospina after Willian's mesmeric run and pass down the left.

On the ball hitting Gary Cahill's arm in the penalty area: "I don't think it was deliberate. He's slid in and his arms are flying around. It's bounced up off his arm and hit his leg, not a penalty for me."

Arsenal now want a penalty! Hector Bellerin hooks the ball back across, Santi Cazorla gets a shot away and it deflects up onto Gary Cahill's arm. Cahill blocked the ball with his arm but it was at point-blank range. Cahill didn't have his arms out high - would have been harsh. But both sides now feel aggrieved.

Great skill from Olivier Giroud as he holds the ball up alone, spins a defender and chips it over the head of John Terry but Terry reacts well to head it clear. Arsenal on top - that pattern won't change and it won't bother Jose Mourinho.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas should get "the respect he deserves" today.

Fabregas, 27, joined Arsenal when he was 16 but left to return to his boyhood club Barcelona in 2011.

Wenger has previously said he does not regret not re-signing the midfielder.

"The regret I have is that he wanted to leave here," said Wenger, who turned down a buy-back option for Fabregas last summer.

"This club and myself had a very positive influence on Cesc's life, so I would be a bit uncomfortable to have to justify today why he is not here.

"I believe I would rather it was the other way around."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger tells Sky Sports that defender Per Mertesacker almost did not make the game: "It looked unlikely, but he had two good sessions on Friday and Saturday.

"We want to continue our run and share a positive moment with our fans. We want a strong finish going into the FA Cup final.

"Against Chelsea, ideally you don't what to lose the ball or give set-pieces away - it will happen so we have to organise quickly and stop Eden Hazard from going well on the counter attack."

The Gunners are looking for a 10th consecutive league victory at the Emirates. They haven't dropped points at home since losing 2-1 to Manchester United on 22 November.

Fabregas has a league-high 16 Premier League assists this season. Only Thierry Henry (20 in 2002-03), Frank Lampard (18 in 2004-05) and Fabregas himself (17 in 2007-08) have ever registered more in a single Premier League campaign.

David Ospina, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and top scorer Olivier Giroud all start for the third-placed Gunners, who have won their last eight Premier League games.

Jose Mourinho opts for two changes from last weekend's 1-0 win over Manchester United and in the absence of the injured Diego Costa, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy has not named a recognised striker.

Chelsea often get the 'boring' tag allocated to them, but the Blues have scored in their last 19 league games - the only team to stop them scoring in any competition this season is Sunderland.

Even more impressively, Chelsea have scored first in all 20 of their games in all competitions in 2015. That is outstanding. Championship-winning form.

Chelsea: Boring or brilliant?

"I find it a bit tiresome when people say Chelsea are a bit boring. I think the way the play is a fantastic thing to be able to do. The number one thing in Jose Mourinho's mind, above everything else, is to win. People will say negative things - but look at that defensive unit and ask yourself if have you ever seen such a unit in recent times."

Chelsea could go all Bayern Munich today with no striker and lots of mobile 'forwards'.

Or they could just play a 4-6-0 and see if Arsenal can beat them. Time will tell.

"I'm sure Jose Mourinho would to have Diego Costa or Loic Remy up front. But he has a lot of dynamic midfielders who can play in each other's positions. None of Chelsea's front four today are going to win a long ball, so they will have to play through Arsenal with a lot of movement."

They've been dominant and it is no surprise that six Chelsea players are in the Professional Footballers' Association Premier League Team of the Year.

"I don't see Chelsea being caught. What's important is Arsenal put down a marker for next season. If they have got got any aspirations of pushing for the title next season then they have got to stop the rot of being bullied by Chelsea."

"I think the title is wrapped up. Arsene Wenger has never beaten Jose Mourinho and that is something that has to end sooner rather than later. Yes, Chelsea had a little wobble a couple of months ago but they have bounced back. Over the season they have been the best team.

Chelsea have been cruising towards the title for months as their nearest 'challengers' fall away, but a win this afternoon at Arsenal would finally put one hand on the trophy.

However, should the Gunners finally beat Chelsea under Mourinho, then maybe - just maybe - the title race will drag on.

That was 11 years ago. JT is still doing it at the highest level, and Mourinho is still frustrating Wenger.

In 12 meetings, the Frenchman has never won a game. A remarkable record.
