How We Used to Live - a Tribute to London

The British Film Institute cares for one of the most significant film archives in the world. The BFI Southbank cinemas' latest season depicts London and its people over the course of the last century and includes the film ‘How We Used To Live’, a newly-completed documentary constructed entirely from archive footage from the vaults. Find a selection of stills below.

A special screening of ‘How We Used To Live’ with a live soundtrack by Saint Etienne takes place at the BFI’s Southbank on July 24th and the ‘London On Film’ season runs until October 9th.
