Millwall caretaker manager Neil Harris says the pressure is off his side in the Championship relegation battle.

The Lions will move to within a point of safety if they beat Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday evening.

"It is a big hurdle to get to the 40-point mark and once you do that, teams above you start looking over their shoulders," he told BBC London 94.9.

"They know we are coming. We have been in no-man's land for a while and are slowly edging our way back into it."

Midfielder Jess Fishlock thinks Wales have been handed a tough draw in the 2017 Women's European Championship qualifiers.

Wales will play in group eight along with 2013 runners-up Norway, Austria, Israel and Kazakhstan.

"Norway and Austria are going to be difficult and Israel and Kazakhstan are extremely difficult places to go and play," Fishlock told BBC Wales Sport.

Glamorgan fast bowler Michael Hogan is set to return from injury for their next County Championship match against Derbyshire on 3 May.

Hogan, 33 - the county's 2014 player of the year - hurt a hamstring playing for Western Australia and has missed Glamorgan's first two fixtures.

Neil Robertson quickly dispatched of Jamie Jones in the World Championship first round, and now it's time for a bit of Game of Thrones action for the world number four.

Bristol City are ready to compete in "the division of death" following their promotion to the Championship, says owner Stephen Lansdown.

The Robins drew with Coventry on Saturday to seal the League One title.

"It is the division of death because of the teams coming down from the Premier League with big parachute payments," Lansdown, 62, told BBC Points West.

"But if you get a good team spirit together and invest in the right way you can compete."

Castleford Tigers have announced the signing of prop forward Ryan Bailey on a deal until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old was released by Hull KR last month after a single appearance for the club, having previously played over 300 games for Leeds Rhinos.

"I want to put my reputation behind me now and start afresh and I hope the fans here get behind me," said Bailey, whose contract includes an option to extend it for a further two years at the end of the current campaign.

Aston Villa's Ron Vlaar has said his side need to stay focused after their FA Cup semi-final win.

Villa beat Liverpool 2-1 to seal a place in the FA Cup final against Arsenal on 30 May, but Vlaar said league survival was still the priority.

"We have to be careful - we can enjoy the moment but from Tuesday we focus again on the next game," he told BBC Midlands Today following the victory.

Tim Sherwood's side are 15th, four points above the relegation places.

Dundee have signed Aberdeen midfielder Nicky Low on a pre-contract agreement.

Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray has revealed he was told the club wasn't the right place for him by former boss Neil Warnock.

In an interview with Four Four Two magazine, Murray - who has scored six goals in as many games since returning from a loan spell at Reading - said: "When I had a private conversation with the gaffer [Warnock] he told me that Palace wasn't the place for me to be.

Manchester Thunder hope to make the Manchester Arena their permanent home, says head coach Tracey Neville.

Thunder attracted a club-record crowd of over 4,000 at the venue as they lost to Hertfordshire Mavericks in the Superleague semi-final on Saturday.

Last year's champions, who were unbeaten before the loss to Mavericks, currently play at Wright Robinson Sports College.

"This event today was unreal. I was so surprised and honoured to be part of it," Neville told BBC Sport. "I hope this is where netballing is evolving and this is our home venue for the rest of our lives."

Quirindi Lions' Nick Tooth was airlifted to hospital after a clash of heads against Narrabri Blue Boars on Saturday, and died despite surgery.

"There was no foul play, nothing untoward about it at all. Sadly it was just a very tragic accident," club president Charles Murray told ABC, Australia's public broadcaster. "He was a lovely kid."

The all-rounder could replace James Tredwell, who injured his arm in the drawn first Test against West Indies, and would bat at number eight in the second Test in Grenada.

Scott will miss Manchester City's FA Cup semi-final v Chelsea on 4 May, as well as league fixtures against Liverpool and Chelsea.

She will now not play a competitive match before this summer's World Cup which starts on 6 June. However, England have a friendly against World Cup hosts Canada on 29 May which Scott will be available for.

Portsmouth chief executive Mark Catlin says there is "significantly more interest" in the managerial position at Fratton Park compared to their last search for a new boss in 2013.

However, he confirmed they may wait until the end of May to appoint a successor to Andy Awford.

"Personally I think it would be worth waiting a few weeks to get the right man," Catlin told BBC Radio Solent.

Sheffield Steelers have sacked coach Gerad Adams despite the Canadian leading them to the Elite League title.

A record 40 managers across the top four English divisions had been dismissed by the end of March, according to new research published by the League Managers Association.

The highest previous figure up to the same point in the season was the 36 dismissals in the 2012-13 campaign. The total of 16 dismissals in this season's Championship was four up on the previous high of 12, also during the 2012-13 season.

The LMA says that if the trend continues the previous record of 46 for a full season, set in 2006-07, will be exceeded.

Reds captain Gerrard, who joins LA Galaxy in the close-season, and had been hoping for a victory to set up the prospect of a fairytale farewell in the final on his 35th birthday next month, told Talksport: "We didn't play, we looked very nervous for some reason.

The 23-year-old made her debut for Heywood men's first XI at Clifton on Sunday and returned figures of 3-19 from her seven-over spell, to help her side secure an eight-wicket victory in the first match of the Premier Division season.

Kate's older brother, Bobby, scored 75 in the game and said: "I really enjoyed being in the same team as her although I am sure she will never let me forget that I dropped a catch off her bowling."

Manchester United have asked about the availability of PSV Eindhoven forward Memphis Depay, according to the newly crowned Dutch champions.

The 21-year-old is the leading scorer in the Eredivisie, with his 20 goals helping PSV win the title for the first time in seven years.

"We have had a telephone call from them about him," PSV's technical director Marcel Brands said on Dutch television.

Leicester Tigers have signed versatile Australia international back Peter Betham from Super Rugby side Waratahs.

Betham, who can play as a full-back or a winger, will join the Premiership club when the current Super Rugby season ends at the start of July.

The Jockey Club has reported profits of £21.7m for 2014, down slightly from the previous year's record £22m.

Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici has tweeted for the first time since his costly mistake in the FA Cup semi-final.

The Australia international failed to hold onto Alexis Sanchez's tame shot and it rolled over the line in extra time, to hand Arsenal a 2-1 win and a place in the Wembley final.

Some tragic news emerging from India, where a 20-year-old cricketer is reported by Reuters to have died as a result of an on-field collision with a team-mate.

Ankit Keshri collided with a team mate as both players went for a high catch during a club match in the eastern city of Kolkata. He briefly lost consciousness but was resuscitated by a team-mate and taken to hospital.

According to doctors, Keshri's condition was stable but he suffered a cardiac arrest around midnight on Sunday and died early on Monday morning.

The incident comes four months after Australia cricketer Phillip Hughes died after being hit by a bouncer.
