Grange Hill co-star remembers Terry Sue-Patt

Terry Sue-Patt was "one of the softest souls that I've ever met", says friend and former Grange Hill co-star Erkan Mustafa.

Erkan starred as Roland alongside Terry Sue-Patt's Benny Green in the children's TV series Grange Hill.

After news of Sue-Patt's death broke on Friday, Erkan said he rang his answerphone just to "hear his voice". He said "that voice just lifted me up...he had the biggest heart".

Following his departure from Grange Hill in 1982, Sue-Patt became a graffiti artist which meant he regularly lost contact with friends for up to two weeks at a time when he concentrated on his art.

"The last time I spoke to Terry was in February", said Erkan "we were going to go to the premier [of Sue-Patt's comeback film Amar Akbar & Tony] and he never rang me...I thought oh well that's typical Terry".
