Futurologist: 'Children could work until they're 100'
Futurologist Rohit Talwar says: "If you take a child today going into school at 11, you could project out that they could easily be living to 120 as the norm [...] so this isn't fanciful projection, this is just a sort of natural progression of what we're doing to enhance human health".
He has warned headteachers at a conference in St Andrews that they must prepare children to work until they are 100 by training them up for developing future industries.
Talwar says "the notion of retirement must change" with people being prepared to take many different jobs over their lives.
