'Oldest gay' George Montague marries ahead of Brighton Pride

As Brighton prepares to mark 25 years of Pride, one senior resident has had an extra special celebration.

George Montague, 92, who calls himself "the oldest gay in the village", converted his civil partnership with long-term partner Somchai Phukkhlai into a marriage at Brighton Town Hall.

He told BBC South East Today's Ellie Chrisell that "gay people had never had it so good", while Paul Kemp, the director of Brighton Pride, said the event was the "leading Pride in the UK".
