What Makes a Culture Thrive?

Why do some cultures advance, while others do not? It's a provocative question. Over 70 countries have been ranked according the four S's - sex, success, security and survival - by authors Clotaire Rapaille and Andres Roemer in their book Move Up. They say it all comes down to our reptilian brain. Our instincts are in-built - but to move up we need to be evolving all the time.
