Tom chats to Johan Karlberg of the Swedish-Malawian duo The Very Best. Tom chats to Johan Karlberg of the Swedish-Malawian duo The Very Best. They released their 3rd studio album Makes A King earlier this year.
They formed in 2006 in East London after a chance encounter, and released their debut album Warm Heart of Africa in 2009 whilst they were both based in London. Work on the new album began in 2013 after they played a festival in Malawi. Johan stayed on with fellow band member Esau and they recorded the album in a house near the shore of Lake Malawi.

At 11 o'clock Tom launches The After Hour, where he dusts off tracks from the outer reaches of his record collection.
