Manchester man charged with terrorism offences

A 24-year-old man has been charged with terrorism offences after being arrested at Manchester Airport trying to board a flight to Pakistan.

Muhammad Aftab Suleman is facing five charges under the Terrorism Act.

Officers from the North West Counter Terrorism Unit searched an address in Peakdale Avenue, Crumpsall, Manchester on Friday.

Mr Suleman is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
