Tree felling continues in Dore despite opposition from local residents
Liz Roberts
BBC Radio Sheffield, political reporter
Tree felling has continued in Dore today, much to the dismay of local campaigners.
People living near this tree on Devonshire Road managed to prevent it being cut down last week by Sheffield City Council contractors Amey, but the team returned this morning to finish the job.
The crash is believed to have happened at about 18:55 on Friday when a white HGV and a green Citroen Picasso were in collision on the A1 southbound at Robin Hood’s Well.
The occupants of the Picasso suffered minor injuries. Initial inquiries suggest a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta or Focus may have been in the area before the collision and police say they're keen to speak to the owners of that vehicle.
