BBC Radio 6 Music Late Night Prom

Mary Anne Hobbs presents an evening exploring the borderlands of classical music, featuring the debut of keyboard virtuoso Nils Frahm and duo A Winged Victory for the Sullen.

Mary Anne Hobbs presents the BBC 6 Music Prom, live from the Royal Albert Hall in London. Tonight's concert features performances from ground-breaking artists Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory for the Sullen. Championed by Mary Anne Hobbs on her 6 Music shows , piano and keyboard virtuoso Nils Frahm and atmospheric duo A Winged Victory for the Sullen explore the borderlands of classical music and draw on contemporary electronic influences for a concert which will feature an exclusive centrepiece collaboration.

Mary Anne Hobbs says,
"Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory For The Sullen are completely re-imagining a future for music with classical roots. They are drawing in contemporary musical influences; using state of the art production techniques; building their own instruments; and staging mind-blowing live shows the world over. These artists have captivated a whole new generation of fans, many of whom have discovered them by listening to my radio shows. So this is a narrative that we all share, a story we built together, which becomes physical at the Prom."

Tonight's concert is broadcast live on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 3, in vision on the BBC Red Button, at bbc.co.uk/6Music and at bbc.co.uk/proms.
