  1. Goodbye

That's it from Sportsday - the county cricket continues here, while coverage of the snooker World Championship resumes at 19:00 BST.

BBC Radio 5 live will have commentary on Tottenham v West Brom from 20:00 BST, while there's a special BBC One show later with highlights of the PFA awards (23:30 BST in England & Scotland, 23:45 BST in Northern Ireland and 00:30 BST in Wales). Bye for now.

  2. Lawro's prediction

Tottenham v West Brom (20:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson

Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

As we look ahead to Tottenham-West Brom this evening, here's Mark Lawrenson's verdict:

"West Brom have taken only one point from their last five games and it is hard to see their form improving on Monday.

"Leicester set down a marker by beating Swansea so convincingly, but Spurs will win this and keep the pressure on."

    Prediction: 3-0

Lawro's full predictions v world heavyweight champion boxer Anthony Joshua

  3. Happy birthday to the best ever all-round sportsman?

Not only did CB Fry represent England at cricket and football, he held the world long jump record and was once offered the throne of Albania.

If that were not enough, his party trick was to jump backwards onto a mantelpiece from a standing position.

  4. PFA player of the year 2017?

    #bbcsportsday

Martin Daniels: Kevin de Bruyne without a doubt, he will also break the record for assists. Deli Alli will probably win young player again!

Thanks for all of your 2017 player of the year suggestions today.

  6. Ellis charged

Hull captain Gareth Ellis has been charged with striking an opponent.

The former England second rower is facing a grade B offence of striking Wakefield forward Anthony Tupou with his arm/shoulder in the early stages of Sunday's 46-28 win over the Wildcats.

  7. Broady bows out

    Naomi Broady

British number three Naomi Broady began her clay-court season with a heavy defeat by American Madison Brengle at the Prague Open.

  8. Armitstead supports Varnish's right to speak out

    Jess Varnish

World champion Lizzie Armitstead backs Jess Varnish's right to raise perceived injustices within British Cycling.

Varnish voiced allegations of sexism after being dropped from the Great Britain team, telling the Daily Mail on Saturday that technical director Shane Sutton had told her to "go and have a baby".

Sutton denies making the comments and British Cycling insists Varnish's removal from the programme was on performance grounds.

"She's worked so hard to be in the position she's in and to have that taken away from her, if she feels that it's unjust, then she should speak out about it," Armitstead told the Press Association.

  9. Post update

    Kevin Howells

    BBC Test Match Special

You can listen to Durham v Middlesex and all today's County Championship matches, as well as following the live text commentary, here on the BBC Sport website.

  10. Sanches for Man Utd?

Sanches is only 18 but has made 28 appearances for the Portuguese giants.

If only he had a Portuguese manager to play for at Old Trafford...

  11. Who's the louder - Leicester or Spurs?

Tottenham v West Brom (20:00 BST)

    BBC Newsround

As the Premier League title race hots up, our colleagues at BBC Newsround asked young Leicester and Spurs fans to show us their support, as loud and proud as they can.

Who's got the loudest young fans? Watch the video here.

  12. Mass Effect - Juve win Serie A

That's now three league titles for coach Massimiliano Allegri - one at AC Milan and two at Juventus.

  13. Get Involved: Tradesmen's XI

    #bbcsportsday

In light of the Football League's competition to search for the next tradesman turned pro footballer, we asked you earlier for your favourite ex-tradesmen on the football field.

Josh Jones: Jamie Vardy, as we all know, used to work in a factory making medical splints.

Richard Knight: Conor Washington at QPR was a postman until a few years ago!

  14. Juventus win Serie A title... again

    Football

    Italian Serie A

Juventus have been crowned Serie A champions for a fifth season in a row after Napoli's 1-0 defeat at Roma.

Sunday's 2-1 win at Fiorentina put them on the brink of glory, and Napoli's failure to win on Monday meant Juve can no longer be caught.

It completes a stunning rise for the Turin side, who were in 12th place and 11 points off the top on 28 October.

However, they have won 24 of their 25 league games since then, drawing the other, to take them clear.

Napoli's draw actually denies Juventus the chance to win the title at their own ground. They host Carpi on Sunday at 11:30 BST.

  17. Okore makes views clear

On the opposite end of the scale of happiness we have Aston Villa centre-back Jores Okore, who according to Eric Black, caretaker boss of the relegated side, is refusing to play.

The Norwegian player gave his side of the story in these rather loaded tweets...which were later deleted.

"I refuse to play? I was on the bench against Chelsea and the games before, why didn't I refuse to play those games?"

    And...

"There must be more to it then MR. Eric Black is telling you!"

  18. 'Down another foxhole'

Tottenham v West Brom (20:00 BST)

    Conor McNamara

    BBC Radio 5 live commentator

    Mauricio Pochettino

"There it goes again. Down another foxhole.

"Hunt as they might, every time Tottenham glimpse the title, it disappears in the flash of a brushy tail.

"The chase remains thrilling and Pochettino's litter still have the scent in their nostrils. Spurs have scored more goals than Leicester and also conceded fewer. They've become scintillating to watch.

"Consistency brings titles. Tottenham were winless in their opening four games of the season. How they must wish they began as strongly as they are finishing.

"The stakes are huge. If Tottenham lose to West Brom, Leicester would only need two more points to guarantee the title."

  20. Ding beats Trump

    Ding Junhui

China's Ding Junhui beats England's Judd Trump 13-10 to reach the quarter-finals.

Who do you fancy for the title?

It looks like golf's Masters champion Danny Willett (below) - of Sheffield - might be asking the same question.
