The myth about British teeth
If there is one thing that separates Americans from the British - it is teeth, or so goes the stereotype. Perfect pearly white smiles, compared to crooked yellow nashers. The British have been the butt of dental jokes for at least half a century, mocked for the benefit of US audiences, in the Austin Powers films, or in The Simpsons. But now, new research published in the British Medical Journal, has found that the cliché of poor teeth in the UK is actually a myth. Professor Richard Watt from the University College London explains.
