South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are warning that more than 300 items such as phone charges and adapters, kitchen appliances, hairdryers and washing machines have been recalled since 2011, but only around 20% of items are ever returned.
They're encouraging people to sign up to receive alerts about electrical products being recalled, after revealing crews have dealt with 117 house fires involving tumble dryers in the last five years.

The parents of a Sheffield man who died from an allergic reaction to a takeaway curry he bought from a restaurant say they felt "numb, shock and disbelief" over the loss of their only child.
Paul Wilson, 38, died after suffering a severe anaphylactic shock in January 2014. He had eaten a chicken tikka masala containing nuts from the Indian Garden in Easingwold, North Yorkshire.
His parents, Margaret and Keith, from Sheffield, said: "Justice has been served, Paul can rest in peace.
"We can't go back and change the past, all we can do is focus on the present and the future and making things right. Don't let this happen again."
They're meeting in Northallerton to decide whether to accept fracking plans in Kirby Misperton.
B&B owner Lorraine Allinson provoked an angry response from fracking objectors at County Hall in Northallerton earlier. It came after she questioned how many of the protestors are actually from North Yorkshire.

Rotherham MP calls for more to be done for missing Didcot men

It's three months today since the decommissioned boiler house at the Didcot power station collapsed.
One person died in the major incident and three people are still missing.
Ken Cresswell, 57, and John Shaw, 61, both from Rotherham and Christopher Huxtable, 34, from Swansea are still missing in the rubble.

Their families have spoken of their anguish and battle to get the rescue effort for their missing men stepped up.
The delays in finding the men have prompted Labour's Rotherham MP, Sarah Champion to call their plight "obscene".

Officers investigating the robbery of a 71-year-old man in High Green earlier this year have issued this e-fit image of a man they would like to trace in connection with the incident.
At around 15:30 on Saturday 20 February, it's reported the pensioner was in his home in Charles Square, High Green, when an unknown man knocked on the door.
When the 71-year-old went to the door, it's believed that another unknown man smashed a window and gained entry, along with a third man with his face covered.
The trio are understood to have threatened the elderly man and asked him for money. One of the men's reported to have threatened the victim with a gun. Can you help? Call 101 or email police.

A record-breaking jet from Britain's golden age of flight is to be restored.
The Vulcan to the Sky Trust has launched a fundraising campaign to bring the English Electric Canberra WK163 back into action.
Trustees have already assembled the engineers and spare parts, including six engines, needed to get the project off the ground.
Fans will be able to see the work as it is carried out on at Robin Hood Airport, near Doncaster.

Transpennine trains to be built in Spain

The Welcome To Yorkshire garden 'God's Own County' is the biggest at this year's show. It's inspired by the huge restoration project of the East Window at York Minster.
All the materials and plants used reflect the Yorkshire landscape.

From 2017/18 Barnsley Council are changing school holiday arrangements, to a shorter summer holiday with a longer October half term.
The term time and holiday dates apply to community and voluntary controlled schools and are as follows: Summer holiday to begin on Tuesday, 31 July. October half term: Monday, 24 October to Friday, 4 November.
Governors of voluntary aided schools and academies are responsible for determining their own dates.
