Halting Islamic State's advance in northern Iraq
In the past couple of weeks some significant gains have been made by Kurdish forces, even though they say they have received little help or resources from Iraqi authorities. The governor of Kirkuk is Dr. Najmiddin Karim spoke to the BBC's Dan Damon about the fight against Islamic State (also known as Daesh).
