A BMW became submerged in the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal
A crashed car became submerged in a canal while the driver made a lucky escape, police said.
The white BMW made a splash in the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal near Lea Lane in Cookley shortly after 14:30 BST.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was on dry land when emergency services arrived at the scene.
Fire crews helped recover the car and no one was arrested. Police are appealing for witnesses.
