More about the programme:

Love is in the air on this week’s All Things Considered.

It’s St Valentine’s Day and it’s hard to ignore it. For weeks now, cheesey cards, heart shaped balloons, and overpriced flowers have crowded the aisles of many a supermarket. For some it’s a day of romance and indulgence others perhaps would rather let it pass them by.

Here in Wales it can feel as if we get a double dose of romance, with St Valentine’s Day swiftly following celebrations of the Welsh saint of love: Santes Dwynwyn.

In today’s programme Mary Stallard and guests are discussing what it means to love and to be loved? What happens when it’s missing from human lives?  And to what extent does having a Christian faith affect how love is understood?
