Lindsey Pluteci, 38, was last seen on Monday evening at about 18:00 close to Barnsley Hospital on Gawber Road and fears are now growing for her welfare.
Lindsey was last seen wearing jeans with a pyjama top. She was also carrying a brown handbag and has "distinctive" tattoos on her hands.

The 18-year-old suffered the injury against Oldham on Tuesday, and he's set for an unspecified spell on the sidelines.

Senior civil servant accused of misleading MPs over closure of BIS in Sheffield
Four other officers, all men, suffered less serious injuries during the incident at Plowright Close in Gleadless Valley.
A man was later arrested inside the nearby Co-op store on Blackstock Road on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody.

More than 50 newly-planted trees in Sheffield have been smashed down in what locals are calling a concerted act of "wanton vandalism".
They were planted to replace the mature trees felled by the council as part of its tree replacement programme which has sparked a bitter row.

I'm at a press conference where Sheffield's police commander has praised the bravery of his officers involved in axe attack last night.
We've been told a Sheffield PC suffered multiple serious injuries while she was responding to a domestic incident in Plowright Close at about 19:50 last night, where a man was reportedly armed with an axe.
That officer and a second male officer were injured as they attempted to arrest the man.
Three other officers were also injured as they arrested the man, in his 30s, inside the Co-op store in Blackstock Road on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody.

A senior civil servant has been accused of misleading MPs by denying knowledge of papers which reveal the cost of closing the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills in Sheffield.
Last month, permanent secretary Martin Donnelly claimed he had no figures for the cost of the relocation.
But a leaked document shows it could be up to £100,000.
The government says it doesn't comment on leaked documents.
There have been protests over the planned closure of BIS in the city.
More than 200 jobs will be moved to London.
