  2. Very warm weather outlook

    It will be a dry evening, with further sunshine for most, giving way to clear spells for the remainder of the night. It'll stay relatively warm with a light breeze blowing and minimum temperatures of 12C (54F).

    Tomorrow: Any patchy cloud around at first will soon burn away, leaving a dry and very warm day with plenty of sunshine in a light southeasterly breeze. It will feel warm through the afternoon in the sunshine with a maximum temperature of 28C (82F).

  3. Milton Keynes: A 'really good arts trail'

    The Milton Keynes' Art and Culture map designer is "very passionate" about the Buckinghamshire town.

    Illustrator Sheree Willis grew up in Bletchley before moving to work in theatre and fashion in Manchester for 14 years. She's since moved back and set up her own business called Cute Maps.

    It started when Sheree drew a general map of Milton Keynes, printed it onto tea-towels and sold them at a craft fair. From there, MK Council got in touch and the Art and Culture map was born: "I love it, it's really exciting", she said.

  4. Roads closed in the three counties

    There is queuing traffic on the M25 anticlockwise between J16 for the M40 and J11 for Chertsey.

    Edward Street in Dunstable remains closed between Union Street and Albion street because of an ongoing police investigation.

    In Hertfordshire the B158 is closed in both directions at the Woodfield Lane junction due to a single vehicle accident.

  5. Dunstable fatal collision linked with theft

    A theft is being linked with a fatal collision which took place in Edward Street in Dunstable today.

    A man and woman were walking in the street just before midday when two women approached them and asked for directions before stealing cash from them, police said.

    "We believe that one of the victims of the theft was also the victim of a fatal road traffic collision in Dunstable", Det Sgt Katherine Rivers said. "The two suspects are described as Asian, in their 20s or 30s, and were both described as wearing light-coloured long tops."

    A man from Bedfordshire has described the moment the Tunisian attacks broke out in Sousse last week.

    "I was actually in the pool area of my resort", said Ian Quinn from Ampthill who was staying in the Khalef resort. "Everyone was brought in from the beaches and the gates were locked."

    "Whilst it was happening, I was in a bit of a daze because I didn't think at any point that we were in immediate danger. We didn't realise it was a terrorist attack."

    They are gearing up for Milton Keynes' 50th birthday in a couple of years and would also like to make a bid for the European City of Culture.

    A statue of Frederick, Prince of Wales at Hartwell House in Buckinghamshire, is the main image at the top of our live page today.

    The statue stands in the centre of the driveway to the house in Aylesbury, which is a Grade I listed building.

  10. Tring 'yarn-bombings'

    It seems that more and more people have been out to admire the 'yarn-bombing' in Tring to celebrate 700 years of the Charter.

    Yarn-bombing is when every day objects like street lights and post boxes get covered in wool by crafty knitters.

    Highways England tweet: #M25 clockwise exit J23 reopened and all lanes open on the roundabout following an earlier collision and recovery work. Delays easing.

  12. McQuoid becomes Luton Town's sixth summer signing

    Luton Town have made their sixth summer signing after capturing striker Josh McQuoid on a three-year deal after his release by Bournemouth.

    McQuoid enjoyed two spells with the Cherries, but failed to feature in their Championship title-winning campaign.

  13. Update: Overturned lorry on M25

    The driver of a lorry has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after his vehicle overturned on the M25 eastbound exit slip road at Bignalls Corner.

    Police were called to the scene just after 10:30 where emergency services had to free the man who had been trapped.

    The exit slip road remains closed and one lane is open at Bignalls Corner.

  14. Man charged with lay-by sexual assault

    A 37-year-old man has been charged with the sexual assault of a woman in a Bedfordshire lay-by three weeks ago.

    The woman had broken down on the A6, near Oakley, when a man approached on a bike and tried to pull her into a field.

    He has been remanded in custody.

  15. Lay-by murder: Court date set

    A man accused of murdering a woman, whose body was found in a lay-by at Gerrads Cross, has appeared before magistrates in Wycombe.

    Navin Mohan, 34, of no fixed abode, will appear at Reading Crown Court on 1 July.

    Anita Kapoor, from Hayes in London, was found dead in Amersham road last week.

  16. Incidents on roads in the three counties

    Edward Street in Dunstable remains closed between Regent Street and Albion Street due an ongoing police incident.

    There is still severe congestion at the A1 J1 and M25 J23 due to an overturned lorry at the roundabout.

    Dashwood Avenue in High Wycombe is partially blocked at the Fryers Lane junction.

    A man has died following a collision in Edward Street in Dunstable this afternoon.

    Police were called just after 12:00 and emergency services attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The road remains closed between Regent Street and Albion Street while further investigations are carried out.

  20. Dancing girl jailed for wearing soldier's uniform

    From the Luton News in 1915: An extraordinary affair was described at Dunstable Sessions on Tuesday [June 29th] when a young women was strongly dealt with by the Bench for wearing a soldier's clothes.

    Her name was Isabella Knight, aged 18, and she was charged with wearing uniform of the Royal Engineers in such a manner as was likely to bring the same into contempt.

  21. Three arrested at Luton march

    Three men were arrested on Saturday during a march in Luton by far-right group Britain First.

    A 38-year-old man from Luton was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence, but was released with no further action and a 48-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.

    Another man from Luton was arrested on suspicion of harassment and being drunk and disorderly. He has been released on bail until August.

  22. Watford's Doyley to remain at club

    Watford's longest serving player Lloyd Doyley will remain at the club until at least September as he continues his rehabilitation from a neck injury.

  23. Tring Charter: 700 years

    Today is a very special day for the people of Tring - they are celebrating 700 years of the Tring Charter.

    Edward II granted the charter for the Hertfordshire town to become a market town back in 1315 and residents celebrated with a two-week fair.

    Locals are celebrating this year with Tring Carnival, a parade and 'Yarn-bombers' who have been out in force this morning. Above are just a few pictures of what they've been up to in Church Square.

  26. Tunisia attacks: Luton-based Thomson priorities

    Luton-based Thomson have said their priority is to provide support to families affected by the attacks in Tunisia last week and to bring home customers.

    Thomson said they have already flown 4,000 people back to the UK and say they are doing everything they can to provide information as soon as possible to families still awaiting news of their loved ones.

    The British death toll is expected to rise above 30, according to David Cameron. All Britons injured in the attack will be returned to the UK within 24 hours, Downing Street said.

    They were called just after 12:00 to reports of a collision between a car and a wall.

  31. Man denies trying to arrange murder

    A man who was arrested in Norfolk in April has denied attempting to arrange a murder.

    Paul Matthews, 48, also known as Paul Vass, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty at Luton Crown Court to two counts of soliciting to commit murder and one count of threatening to kill as well as three firearms offences.

    The alleged victim lives in Bedfordshire, detectives said.

  32. Three 'suspected asylum seekers' arrested in church yard

    Three men have been arrested under the immigration act in a church yard in Milton Keynes this morning.

    Officers were called to reports of the men in the grounds of St Peter and St Paul's Church in Newport Pagnell just after 09:20.

    They remain in police custody in Milton Keynes and the UK Border Agency has been contacted, Thames Valley Police say.

  33. Trial continues for Luton man over daughter's death

    A paramedic has described how a nine-week-old child was 'pale and unresponsive' when attending an emergency call in Luton last January.

    The jury at Luton Crown Court heard this morning how Scarlett Stokes-Craig didn't respond to ventilation or resuscitation before being taken to a waiting ambulance.

    Father Adam Stokes, 32, from the Runfold area of Luton, denies killing Scarlett who died at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London from a head injury.

  34. DNAR guidelines 'not translated into practice'

    The family of a Hertfordshire woman who was placed on a Do Not Attempt to Resuscitate Order (DNAR) without her, or her family, being told, say a ruling that doctors have a legal duty to consult with and inform patients if they wanted to place a DNAR order on medical notes is not being implemented everywhere.

    Janet Tracey (pictured) from Ware was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital after a car crash in 2011 and placed on a DNAR because she'd been previously diagnosed with cancer. The Court of Appeal ruled her human rights were violated.

    Merry Varney, the family's solicitor, said: "The message about ensuring that patients and family have the information in advance about when these decisions are necessary and why they are made... is simply not being translated into practice everywhere."

    MK Dons' chairman Pete Winkelman has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree from Cranfield University.

    "I am extremely honoured and humbled to receive this wonderful award," he said.

    Rather aptly, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are warning people to be extra vigilant when they're taking advantage of the weather and dining al fresco with their barbecues.

    They're warning people not to leave barbecues unattended, not to use them indoors or in tents and to ensure coals are cool before disposing of them, among a few other things. If you're looking for some BBQ recipe ideas, the BBC Food team have some tasty treats.

  43. Call for end of life care guidelines

    A year after it became law for patients to be consulted about end of life care, it's being claimed hospitals are doing little to implement the new guidelines for issuing Do Not Attempt to Resuscitate (DNAR) orders.

    Watford transfer target Diego Perotti appears to have turned down a record breaking £7m move to the Hornets from Italian side Genoa.

    Reports in Italy say the Argentinean wants to stay in Italy and move to Napoli, although Genoa say the only firm offer they have received is from Watford.

    Meanwhile Watford continue to be linked with two players from Inter Milan, plus Roma's Greek international defender Jose Holebas.

  45. Three 'seriously injured' in Baldock road crash

    Hertfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses after four people, including three teenagers, were injured in a collision between two cars on the A507 in Baldock on Saturday night.

    The driver of a Citroen Saxo, a man in his 30s from Letchworth, sustained serious injuries, as did two of three teenage boys in the car, which was in collision with an Audi at about 23:00.

  46. Luton affray 'not terror related'

    A number of men were arrested on suspicion of affray offences in Luton town centre last night but Bedfordshire Police have said the incident was "not currently being treated as terror related".

    Officers were called to reports of violent disorder in St George's Square at 19:50. There are not believed to have been any injuries.

    A further man, who wasn't connected to the original incident, then approached officers and produced a weapon, before being detained.

  48. Murder charge after fatal collision

    A man has been charged with murder after a pedestrian died following a collision with a van in Turnford.

    The victim, a man in his 50s, was killed in Groom Road at about 11:30 on Friday.

    Michael Turner, 56, from Landau Way in the village, has been remanded in custody and will appear in court later.
