Major: 'Want undiluted sovereignty? Go to North Korea'
The former Conservative prime minister Sir John Major has said Leave campaigners are wrong to claim the UK will lose its sovereignty by staying in the EU.
"This country is sovereign. We can vote to repeal the accession act to the European Union at any time - that is sovereignty in its purest form," he told presenter John Humphrys.
"If you want undiluted sovereignty in the modern age, when everybody is interconnected, then go to North Korea because that's where you will get it."
