The Chicago church in pursuit of social justice
St Sabina's church in Chicago has been playing a pivotal role in its predominantly African American neighbourhood since 1933, overseeing employment programmes, providing social services, campaigning against gun violence. The man overseeing all of this is a white parish priest called Michael Pfleger who's been St Sabina's pastor for more than 30 years and Julian Keane went to meet him.
