A Huntingdon man who's been fighting a prosecution for refusing to buy a river navigation licence for a houseboat that can't be moved has won a High Court ruling.
Glen Parker, who lives at Hartford Marina in Huntingdon, was being prosecuted by the Environment Agency for not registering his home.
Today three senior judges at London's Appeal Court backed Mr Parker's claim that his houseboat is not "a vessel" and ruled that he doesn't need a licence.

MacAntony told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire earlier this week that the second half of the season has been a "complete failure" and no-one at the club is safe if things don't improve.
Ahead of the game with Colchester, Westley said: "The chairman is right to have the views that he's got and to feel the anger that he feels.
"He invests a lot on money and a lot of time and he wants a return. I work on the basis that my job is at risk every morning. If you don't do your job properly, you don't deserve to be employed."

A day of action to tackle rogue traders in Cambridgeshire has resulted in 15 vehicles being stopped and checked and 20 traders, including builders, landscapers, window fitters and roofers, being spoken to.
Two penalty tickets were issued and one person was reported for an offence.
The action was taken by Cambridgeshire Police and local trading standards to try and stamp out distraction burglaries and scams that leave people swindled out of their life savings.
Enforcement service working to tackle low-level crime in Peterborough

I've been out with the new Peterborough enforcement service. It was started last week to tackle low-level crime in the city.

The collaboration between the city council and Cambridgeshire Police will see council officers trained to gain enforcement powers that currently only police have.
It means as well as issuing a parking ticket they'll be able to tackle problems like begging and street drinking.
Man arrested after Wisbech burglary
Fenland police have sent out this tweet to say they've arrested a man in Wisbech following a burglary.

As part of the events to mark the 90th birthday of the Queen, City College Peterborough is hosting a three-course VIP lunch on 9 June.

'Economy' drive inspired man to cover shed roof with records

Yesterday we told you about a March man who has covered his shed roof with charity shop vinyl records...
Mike Johnson told me he did it because he's "a bit mean with money" and because "it was a lot cheaper than tiles".
He said he came up with the idea after the bitumen on his friend's roof was constantly shredded by the wind, adding "it was a lightbulb moment".
The shed now sports hundreds of LPs which took about two days to attach, at a cost of £70.
Thousands raised in round-the-world charity bike ride

A teenager from Soham has raised more than £21,000 for charity after cycling around the world.
Callum Fairhurst rode across Australia, Asia, Europe and America and has just returned home.
He raised the funds for the Liam Fairhurst Foundation, set up in memory of his 14-year-old brother who died from cancer in 2009.
