BBC report into Jimmy Savile due out this month
The BBC's report into disgraced former Leeds DJ and broadcaster Jimmy Savile is expected to be published on Thursday 25 February, it's been confirmed.

The Dame Janet Smith Review has released a statement saying the report was delivered to the BBC's Director General, Lord Hall, who received it on behalf of the BBC's Executive Board this afternoon.
Arrangements for the publication of the report will be announced by the BBC in the coming days.

Leeds mental health charity welcomes new investment
A Leeds charity has welcomed new government investment in mental health following a review into the services on offer to psychiatric patients in England, which revealed inadequate and underfunded care.

The report - by a taskforce set up by NHS England - says about three-quarters of people with mental health problems receive no help at all.
Lauren Blenkinsop, from the Leeds branch of Mind, says she hopes the new money will go to the right places.
"What we really need to see is investment in community services - things like support groups and activity groups which help people before the point of going into hospital."
Bradford businesses 'deserve support' after devastating mill fire
Susan Hinchliffe, executive member for education, skills and culture, says: "Obviously the loss of the mill and its heritage is felt keenly by Bradford people. The priority now has to be to restore the lane so that businesses can get back to operating at full capacity.
"There are some great restaurants and businesses on Lumb Lane and they deserve everybody’s support to get back to normal."
Leigh reject Huddersfield Giants bids for scrum-half Brierley

Leigh Centurions have turned down two bids for half-back Ryan Brierley from Super League side Huddersfield Giants, BBC Radio Manchester reports.

The 23-year-old (above) was not included in Leigh's squad for the Championship win over Oldham on Sunday.
Brierley, a former Castleford youngster, has scored 81 tries in 66 appearances in the past three seasons.

The parks, small green spaces created in urban areas, will be developed in the Cardinal estate in Beeston, at St Ann's Mills in Kirkstall Valley, at Lovell Park flats in Little London (pictured), at Jailey Fields in Armley and at Sandon Mount in Hunslet Carr.
Communities Secretary Greg Clark says: "The successful bids in Leeds all have a strong community heart at the core of their plans, and they thought up creative ways to involve everyone in the area to turn unloved spaces into green lungs for their communities."
Boxing: Josh Warrington back at Leeds Arena
Leeds boxer Josh Warrington is returning to the city's arena in a couple of months to defend his WBC International Featherweight title.
The 52-year-old man, riding an old-style Moto Guzzi motorcycle, was on the A65 near Clapham, Craven District on Sunday afternoon when the crash took place.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Peugeot 206 and her young daughter were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Leeds-Bradford Airport among worst hit by laser incidents
Virgin Atlantic flight VS025 turned back after it was struck by the laser on Sunday evening, about six or seven miles west of Heathrow.
And, as you can see above, figures compiled by the Civil Aviation Authority show Leeds-Bradford was affected by 24 laser incidents in the first half of last year - the third highest figure in the country.

Tomorrow will see a cold and frosty start, but all parts will be dry and sunny for much of the day, although cloud will tend to increase later.
Top temperatures will be about 6C (43F) with a freshening south-west wind.
Bradford dental nurse struck off for performing facelift
A dental nurse from West Yorkshire who gave her friend a facelift despite not being qualified to do so has been struck off.
Adele Royston, 41, took time off from her job at Russell Court Dental Centre in Bingley to carry out the surgery in February 2014.
It involved giving the woman local anaesthetic before cutting her face in two places and tightening her skin.
The General Dental Council ruled Royston's actions were of the "utmost seriousness".

'Pocket parks' plan for unloved spaces in Leeds
Five new "pocket parks" are expected to be created in Leeds after community groups in the city were awarded £61,000 of government cash.

Boxing: Josh Warrington back at Leeds Arena
Leeds boxer Josh Warrington is returning to the city's arena in a couple of months to defend his WBC International Featherweight title.
He will face Japan's Hisashi Amagasa on 16 April.
His last visit to Leeds Arena was to defeat Australian Joel Brunker back in September last year.
