Inside Tbilisi's restored historic opera house

The historic opera house in the Georgian capital Tbilisi has opened its doors after a six-year renovation.

The theatre was built when Georgia was part of imperial Russia. It has survived the Soviet era and Georgia's own civil war.

The $40m (£28m) restoration was paid for by the country's richest man and former prime minister.

The BBC's Rayhan Demytrie went to the opening night.
