    Police are looking for a flasher who exposed himself to a woman in broad daylight last Thursday.

    They say a lady in her 50s was targeted by the man as she walked between the Co-op on Bure Park and Purslane Drive.

    Police have released an image of the suspect.

    • It's taking about 20 minutes to get from Cassington due to traffic through the Cutteslowe and Wolvercote Roundabouts, which is slow in both directions

  7. Residents react to death of Oxford art dealer Adrian Greenwood

    Earlier we learned that a 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder by police investigating the death of Adrian Greenwood.

    Greenwood was found dead at a property on Iffley Road on Thursday afternoon.

  8. Hearing into court guard's death opens

    A 23-year-old former Oxford resident caused "catastrophic" injuries to a guard who later died, a court's heard.

    Humphrey Burke attacked Lorraine Barwell, 54, as he was being led from holding cells at Blackfriars Crown Court to a prison van on 29 June last year. 

    Burke, who used to live at Friars Wharf in Oxford, was found unfit to plead to a charge of murder at the Old Bailey as he's since been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. 

    Jurors have been told they'll only have to decide whether Burke did the alleged act, not whether he was guilty.

  9. Attempted child abduction in Blackbird Leys

    An attempted abduction of a 10-year-old boy in Blackbird Leys, Oxford is being investigated.

    He was approached on Cuddesdon Way last Friday by a man who grabbed his wrist and said: "You're coming with me."

    It happened between 17:10 and 17:20 and the boy was able to escape unhurt.

    Police are looking for a suspect who's described as being white, between 35 and 40 years old, 5ft 9in to 6ft tall, of slim build, with short black hair and stubble. He also had one brown eye and one eye which was green and brown.

  10. Publishing tax details was the right thing to do, says Cameron

    Prime minister and Witney MP David Cameron has told the House of Commons why he agreed to publish his tax returns in the wake of the Panama Papers scandal.

    David Cameron told MPs there's a "strong case" for the prime minister, the leader of the opposition, the chancellor and the shadow chancellor to do so, because they're responsible for the nation's finances. 

    But he said "we should think carefully" before asking all MPs to do the same.

  11. Travel update: Rail disruption continues for passengers heading north

    It's not been a great day on the rails for passengers heading north from Oxfordshire, following a signal failure at Birmingham New Street.

    The latest is that some trains to, from and through New Street may be delayed by up to 25 minutes.

    This is expected to continue until about 16:30.

  13. Chipping Norton man cleared of rape

    A 20-year-old from West Oxfordshire's been found not guilty of raping a women at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.

    James Martin from Chipping Norton was one of four students accused of the offence at an end-of-year ball in May 2014.

    Prosecutor Fiona Elder told Gloucester Crown Court that a decision not to offer any evidence against the defendants had been made after the case was reviewed last week.

  14. Jewellery taken in Marston break-in

    Police are asking anyone who's been offered jewellery for sale recently to get in touch as a matter of urgency.

  15. Abingdon woman's Antarctic ambition

    A woman from Abingdon is hoping to be on the first female-only expedition to Antarctica.

    Rin Cobb is training for a place in the four-women Exercise Ice Maiden team.

    If she makes it she'll be walking 1,700km in temperatures down to -80C and wind speeds of more than 60mph.

  16. Community bus made possible thanks to last-minute volunteers

    A community shuttle bus for Chipping Norton is in service after volunteers came forward at the last minute.

    Ten new drivers were needed by Wednesday otherwise the bus would have been sold.

    But after an appeal on Kat Orman's show on BBC Radio Oxford, 15 people came forward to help.

    It all meant the prime minister, and Witney MP, David Cameron was able to inaugurate the bus last Friday.

  17. Bicester's Ewan 'Forrest' Gordon to take on epic country-length fundraiser

    For most people running more than 1,000 miles from one end of Britain to the other would be enough of a feat. But for one fundraiser, nicknamed Forrest Gump, one trip is not enough as he takes to the roads as part of a cycle team lead by his 16-year-old nephew.

  18. Elephant-mask wearing robber hunted by police

    A shop assistant in Eynsham has been threatened by a knife-wielding man wearing a green elephant mask.

    The incident happened at Eynsham Cellers, a wine shop in Mill Street, on Saturday night.

    The robber, whose mask had a pink trunk, stole cash before leaving the scene on a bicycle. 

    Police haven't released an image of the suspect, but said he was also wearing a thick black coat with the hood up, skiing gloves, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers with red stripes.
