A 19-year-old has been charged with criminal damage after a 150 year-old statue was decapitated in Hertford on Easter Sunday.
The teenager will appear in court at a later date.
A second 19-year-old arrested this morning on suspicion of criminal damage has been released with no further action.

A man has been charged over a stabbing in Luton on Sunday morning.
The 22-year-old man is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place.
A man was stabbed in Alma Street just before 06:00. The victim was taken to hospital.

At the misconduct hearing today, PC Stuart Francis denies allegations he pushed Christian-Lee Thompson's face into the ground and said he had no intention to handcuff him or arrest him.
He said he only used "very limited force" to hold him down to make sure he didn't injure himself. He also said it was "not true" that he'd treated him with disrespect.
The case will continue tomorrow.

A Hertfordshire police officer facing a misconduct charge for the way he arrested a teenager who was injured after he came off a moped near Hemel Hempstead has been giving evidence this afternoon.
PC Stuart Francis is accused of using excessive force when he found Christian-Lee Thompson. He told the hearing in Hatfield that rather than restraining the 15-year-old, he was trying to put him in the recovery position and his priority was to make him "safe."
The case continues.

Ancient 'tablets' show rapid recovering of Verulamium after Boudican revolt
One of the wooden tablets is a contract from 21 October, 62 AD, to bring "20 loads of provisions" from Verulamium - now St Albans - to London. That was a year after the revolt by Iceni queen Boudica.
Dr Roger Tomlin, who translated the documents, said they reveal the rapid recovery of Roman London and Verulamium after they were destroyed in the Boudican revolt.

He said the writings included references to beer deliveries, evidence of an early beer baron whose empire stretched from London to Carlisle, legal rulings, references to the military presence in the city and someone practising handwriting.

Wooden tablets containing a refrence to Verulamium - aka St Albans - were discovered during excavations for Bloomberg's new European headquarters, near Mansion House in London.
They've been described as "the email of the Roman world", communicating business and legal dealings.
Among 410 tablets uncovered, 87 have been deciphered.

Taxi drivers say they'll loose their jobs when a new contract comes into force at Luton Airport.
It's because Addison Lee has been contracted to operate the taxi service, instead of Hackney cabs.

We've just had a statement from the airport about the row, saying the new service will "expand and improve the options available to passengers who will benefit from fixed price fares".
A spokesman said it's part of on-going plans to redevelop the terminal and the airport infrastructure.

I've just found out the cost of repairing a decapitated 150 year old statue in Hertford is about £3,000.
The statue is currently in two pieces, with half of it standing outside Beckwith & Son on St Andrew's Street. It was damaged on Easter Saturday, when the top was severed and the top half landed on the pavement.
A spokesman from the antiques shop told me it will be repaired, hopefully in the next couple of months.

Bedfordshire fire service is still at the scene of a fire, which broke out at the Four Winds Industrial Estate on the A6 close to Clophill on Thursday night.
They're currently checking the fire is completely out and under control.
At the height of the incident about 80 firefighters attended and 2,000 litres of water were used in a minute.

Clophill fire: Investigations into cause continue

There have been reports of some smoke still coming from the Four Winds Industrial Estate on the A6 close to Clophill.
Bedfordshire fire service has confirmed there's still some "smoldering" at the site, but no danger of another fire.
They say the recent wet weather has helped dampen down the site.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire.

The fire broke out last Thursday night. Firefighters are currently visiting the site to "keep an eye on things".

A bronze angel statue has been stolen from North Watford Cemetery.
The 18 inch (47cm) bronze is of the guardian angel, Celestine.
