Lady Gaga and Sir Elton John have teamed up to launch a new fashion line for US department story Macy's.

The new label - Love Bravery has billed as "a high-spirited, limited-edition line of clothing and accessories that inspire compassion and combat prejudice".

Apparently it will comprise of shirts, sweats, outerwear, clutches, backpacks, scarves and beanies.

No mention however of meat dresses or Donald Duck outfits and six-foot high platform bovver boots.

In just a few hours the Royal Albert Hall in London will be playing host to the UK's best folk artists for Radio 2's annual Folk Awards.

Joan Armatrading is being honoured with a lifetime achievement award at this year's event.

Earlier, best duo nominees Gilmore & Roberts tweeted themselves getting on their best "game faces".

Slaves have called off a gig to give themselves an "extra week" to finish their second album. 

Announcing the news in a Facebook post, the band apologised to fans for delaying the show in Derby, but said they were "nearly done".

Glastonbury has revealed which DJs and electronic acts will be playing its Silver Hayes dance field this year. 

The line-up includes Radio 1's Annie Mac, Blonde, Craig David, DJ Yoda, Eats Everything, Four Tet, Idris Elba, Mura Masa, Julio Bashmore, Jungle and Kano.

AC/DC fans in the UK have been offered refunds for upcoming gigs. It follows singer Brian Johnson being forced to pull out of live shows due to health issues.

He is being replaced on the tour, which includes dates at the Olympic Stadium in London and the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, by Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose.

Promoters SJM confirmed to the BBC ticketholders had been contacted with the message:

After Muse invited Adele to come on stage with them at Glastonbury (while chatting on Radio 1 last week), Laura Mvula is now angling for a Worthy Farm collaboration of her own - with Coldplay.

The singer - who's also set to play this year's BBC Music Day on 3 June - told the BBC she's a huge fan of both Coldplay and frontman Chris Martin. 

Coldplay will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Sunday, the same day Laura's on the bill.

Laura credits her sister (and bandmate) Dionne and her ex-husband - who was "majorly into Radiohead and Coldplay" - for getting her into the band.

BBC Radio 1Xtra has announced A.Dot as the first solo female to host its breakfast show.

She joined 1Xtra in 2014 to present the station’s weekend afternoon show and will take over the breakfast slot from 4 July.

Musicians interviewing other musicians can sometimes yield some pretty interesting results.

Case in point, Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Dave Depper has quizzed David Bowie's great producer and friend Tony Visconti about the recording of classic album the Man Who Sold the World for Portland publication Willamette Week.

Among other things Tony recalled how he and David fell out following the album's release:

Radio 4's Woman's Hour had a discussion on exactly that with cultural commentator Emma Dabiri and feminist researcher Sekai Makoni.

Mumford and Sons performed with Baaba Maal, South African band Beatenberg and The Very Best on Later... with Jools Holland last night.

They've all collaborated on a new mini-album called Johannesburg, due on 17 June, which was recorded during two "all day and all night" sessions while touring South Africa earlier this year.

Time magazine has named its annual list of the most influential people and it includes Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar and Adele, alongside the likes of Hillary Clinton, Caitlyn Jenner and Leonardo DiCaprio.  

Nicki performed a medley of tracks dedicated to independent women at a special event to mark the list.

She told the men in the room: "If you don't know how to treat your woman, there are 100 dudes lined up ready to treat her like a queen."

Members of Prince's former band The Revolution have announced they will reunite for a series of concerts. 

The announcement was made in a video on band member Brown Mark's Facebook account. 

"We have decided, after spending three or four days together now grieving over the loss of Prince, that we would like to come out and do some shows," guitarist Wendy Melvoin said. 

"We want to let you know that we'll be there soon." 

The band look set to tour the line-up that existed when the ensemble broke up in 1986, one that consisted of Mark, Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Bobby Z and Matt Fink.

Lawyers suing members of Led Zeppelin say their client is willing to settle a lawsuit over the band's most famous song, Stairway to Heaven, for just $1.

The catch is that band members Robert Plant and Jimmy Page would have to give late rocker Randy California a writing credit on the 1971 rock ballad, a claim potentially worth millions of dollars, according to Bloomberg.

If they agreed it would head off the copyright infringement trial, scheduled for 10 May in Los Angeles.

It's claimed the song came about after they heard another band Spirit perform the instrumental Taurus while touring together in the late 1960s.

Meanwhile The Hollywood Reporter claims Plant and Page scored some key victories this week, after a judge ruled the jury won't hear about Jimmy Page's drug use nor about "serial plagiarism."

He has also excluded many of the Taurus sound recordings, with only those transcribed from the copyrighted sheet music to be heard by the jury.

Alicia Keys will debut new music from her next album during the first ever live musical performance to form part of the opening ceremony of the UEFA Champions League Final.

UEFA announced that the Grammy-winning singer will be the first musical act to perform as a part of the final, which will be broadcast to more than 220 countries from Italy next month. 

The singer has been working on a follow-up to her 2012 studio album Girl on Fire. But she was coy about the new songs she'll be performing on 28 May.

Quincy Jones has been presented with a lifetime achievement award by Jazz FM.

He didn't appear at the awards in London but thanked organisers via a video message, saying: "I'm so moved ... To be so young and receive an award like this, it's astounding. I'm only 83 man!" 

Singer Gregory Porter picked up the Impact Award while Kamasi Washington, the saxophonist who worked with Kendrick Lamar on his latest Grammy-winning album To Pimp A Butterfly, won international artist of the year.

Broadway theatregoers were treated to a surprise rendition of Fleetwood Mac mega-hit Rhiannon in New York last night, as Stevie Nicks appeared on stage at School of Rock. 

She performed after the cast did their curtain call, backed by the show's young band. 

"I have Fleetwood Mac, and then I have my solo band that I've been playing with since 1980, and now I have one more fantastic band to add to my roster, so I'm very happy," she said afterwards.

She also took the time to share memories of recording with Prince, on her 1980s hit Stand Back. She told reporters the idea for the song came to her while listening to Little Red Corvette in the car and she called him up about it:

A bunch of new names have been added to the line-up for next month's Big Weekend in Exeter.

The Hunna, Emmi, Black Foxxes and Declan McKenna will perform alongside returning acts Rosie Lowe, Blossoms, Spring King and Izzy Bizu (pictured above) at Europe’s biggest free ticketed event.

Other artists set for the BBC Introducing stage include Tiny Folds, Cortes, Rosie Lowe, Black Foxxes, Emmi and Alice Jemima.

The event's being held at at Powderham Castle on 28-29 May.

Pop star Prince did not leave a will, his sister has revealed in court documents.

The papers, filed in state court in Minnesota, show Tyka Nelson has petitioned for a special administrator to oversee the star's estate.

He was found dead at Paisley Park Studios in Minneapolis last week at the age of 57.

The full size of the estate is unclear but includes $27m (£18m) in property.

It's just been announced Paul McCartney will record a special edition of Radio 4 music series Mastertapes next month. 

Ahead of the release of a major Macca retrospective album, he'll talk to presenter John Wilson about his career and answer questions from the audience at the BBC's Maida Vale studios - as well as performing.
