  2. Weather: Overcast with further outbreaks of rain

    It's set to stay overcast through this evening and much of the night with further outbreaks of rain.

    The rain will turn heavier for a time overnight, especially over high ground like Great Chishill, before it starts to clear from the west later.

  3. Final preparations under way for Sunday's Boat Races

    All eyes will be on the River Thames on Sunday as the The Boat Races take place

    Cambridge men's team in warm-up race

    The women's race starts at 15:10 and then it's the turn of the men at 16:10, who're attempting to end a three-year winless streak.

    You can watch it live on BBC One, the BBC Sport website and the BBC Sport app from 14:30 - 17:00.

  5. Busy Easter needed to boost Cambridgeshire business

    The manager of a Cambridgeshire tourist attraction is banking on a busy Easter to help cover their expensive costs during the winter months.

    Nick Willers from Shepreth Wildlife Park says if hundreds of visitors don't come in the next few days they'll never be able to get that money back, and making money now is "vital" so they can continue trading. 

    It costs £2,500 to run the park every day. 

  6. Cambridgeshire's Charlotte Edwards helps England's women beat the West Indies at the World Twenty20

    Cambridgeshire's Charlotte Edwards and England's women have edged to victory over the West Indies in their third group match at the World Twenty20.

    Chasing 109, England reached their target on the final ball of the match to win by a wicket. 

    Edwards scored 30 before being bowled by Shaquana Quintyne.

  7. American rower in Women's Boat Race says her selection is an "honour"

    For only the second time in history the Cambridge-Oxford Women's Boat Race will take place on the same day as the men's this Sunday.

    Daphne Martschenko from America has been selected to row for Cambridge, as the women aim to take the title back from Oxford who have won three years in a row.

    She says it's been an "honour" to be chosen, adding one of the things she has learned is "time management" and the need to juggle training with studying.

  9. Exiles sign Posh forward Coulibaly

    Peterborough striker Souleymane Coulibaly has joined League Two Newport County on loan until the summer.

    Coulibaly, 21, has made 32 appearances since joining Posh as a free agent over the summer, scoring five goals. 

    He has featured for Posh since the 27th February and is out-of-contract in the summer.  

  10. Ofsted concerned about quality of education for disadvantaged pupils in Cambridgeshire

    The education watchdog has written to Cambridgeshire County Council saying it's not doing enough to improve exam results for disadvantaged pupils.

    Ofsted says fewer than a quarter of disadvantaged pupils in Cambridgeshire achieved five or more GCSE grades A* to C, including English and Maths. 

    The council says it shares the concerns, but 2015 results did improve.

  11. More homes to be built in the county as Local Plans approved

    Slight alterations to the South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge City Local Plan have been approved by councillors.

    It means an extra 500 homes are to be built in the area, meaning the final total now stands at 33,500.

    Restrictions have also been lifted to allow a new town to be built in Waterbeach and a new village at Bourne Airfield to be built sooner.

    A Cambridgeshire teenager raped after being carried unconscious across a park said she initially felt the attack was "my fault".

    Honey-Mae Lyons, 19, from Bourn, waived her right to anonymity in a bid to encourage other rape victims to speak out.

    Muhammed Ekici, 24, and Serham Ozkebapci, 25, of Parkside Place, Cambridge, were both jailed at Norwich Crown Court yesterday for sex offences.

  16. Teenage biker critically ill following Dogsthorpe collision
