    One person was seen committing an "indecent act" as they drove at speed in a BMW on the M40.

    Meanwhile, another driver on the M271 was spotted reading a novel during a police crackdown on major roads in Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

    A woman from Oxford's been told an autograph she was given by the late Muhammad Ali could be worth hundreds of pounds.

    Clare Stein, who lives in Summertown, asked the boxing legend for his signature in 1976 at the Savoy Hotel.

    Mallams auctioneers in Oxford will be selling the autograph at the Gentleman’s Library Sale on 29 June at their St Michael's Street saleroom.

    Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary uses hundreds of towels every months to keep its 59 dogs, 76 cats and 14 rabbits snug and warm. This month staff at the Stadhampton centre put out an urgent appeal for more towels.

    Babies born prematurely grow stronger hearts if they are breastfed, Oxford University research shows

    The study found adults who were born early had reduced heart volumes and function, compared with those who were not. 

    But the damage was significantly reduced in those who were fed exclusively on breast milk as infants.

These will be quite long lasting in places, so there could be some temporary surface water flooding on roads, most likely around Banbury and the north of the county, but perhaps affecting anywhere.   16. Man, 77, arrested over drug-driving

    Police have confirmed a 77-year-old man was arrested yesterday for drug-driving, after an accident in Oxford.

    An elderly woman was taken to hospital soon after 15:00, following a collision on West Way. 

    The man was arrested and has been bailed until 15 August.
