    Louis van Gaal

I think I can answer this. The most teams any country can have in the Champions League is FIVE.

So in the scenario below the team who finished fourth in the league would miss out.

SMS Message: If Liverpool win the Europa League and City win the Champions League but finish 5th, does that mean we would have 6 English clubs in the Champions League next season?!! from Michael in St Neots.

  13. 'You get carried away'

    Liverpool 4-3 Dortmund (Agg: 5-4)

    Ian Dennis

BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter

"It was a privilege to commentate on. A night that will live with me forever. You can't help but get carried away. You get sucked in. It was  a stunning game."

  14. 'I can't explain it'

    Liverpool 4-3 Dortmund (Agg: 5-4)

    Thomas Tuchel

Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel: "I can't explain it, it was not logical. It was very emotional. At the end at 3-3 everyone here believed it was meant to be, it was destiny.

"If you have such a strong belief then things can happen. We had a goal and we have not achieved it. Sport is about wining and we did not make it. You have to accept it and be an honourable loser so congratulations to Liverpool. You have to take defeat like a champion."

  15. 'Touches of Shankly'

    Mark Lawrenson

Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

"When Jurgen Klopp was appointed everyone in England thought it was a great job. There's touches of Shankly in there. He's a really, really good fit and he has raised this average team."

  18. A recap

    Liverpool 4-3 Dortmund (Agg: 5-4)

    Liverpool players celebrate victory

Liverpool made a terrible start as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and then Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored inside nine minutes! Liverpool needed three goals.

The game looked dead even then. Divock Origi poked one back in the first few minutes of the second half but Marco Reus swept in a classy third for the German side.

But Philippe Coutinho hit a low shot home, Mamadou Sakho headed in from a corner and then DEJAN LOVREN won it. Right at the end.

    What a night.
