It's not just a busy night of football in the Premier League tonight but also across Europe. Follow live text commentary from La Liga, with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid all in action, plus updates from tonight's games in Italy and Germany. Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew: "I don't think anyone will look at our side and worry about us putting an under-strength team out when they see the team sheet. One or two changes I will definitely do just to increase the energy."

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal: "We have to win. We need to win. It is too important a game to rotate. We can only give pressure by winning."

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has already come out and said he will change his team around before Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Watford.

That helps Manchester United, who have their own semi-final to look forward to, but nothing is straightforward for Louis van Gaal's side at the moment.

Both sides could make changes ahead of their FA Cup semi-finals. Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard may be recalled for Manchester United, having been rested against Aston Villa at the weekend.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has ruled out regular starters Yannick Bolasie, Joel Ward, Joe Ledley and Scott Dann because of minor injuries. James McArthur returns from an ankle ligament injury suffered in February.

Premier League

As well as the Merseyside derby at Anfield, West Ham host Watford and Manchester United play Crystal Palace. Coverage gets underway at 19:00 BST. 

The whole situation at Everton is very strange and it feels like they have lost their way a bit. I don't understand how they have got themselves in such a mess with the players they have.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "Before I went to Dortmund there were lots of red cards in derbies. I don't want to see this. Not to show 'I am the man'. Maybe one or two fans want to see stuff like this, but it will never help."

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "When you compete in two tournaments, then weeks like this are, of course, defining. We are going to have our defining week in mid-April. Other teams have defining weeks in February when they are out of the FA Cup."

Liverpool could be without Divock Origi and Kolo Toure, who suffered back and hamstring injuries respectively against Bournemouth on Sunday. Emre Can and Jordan Henderson are not expected to play again this season.

Everton pair Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley are likely to be recalled after being named as substitutes on Saturday. James McCarthy returns from a ban, but Seamus Coleman and Phil Jagielka are both absent with hamstring injuries.

The departure of David Bernstein and Lord King from the Aston Villa board was triggered by a bitter fall-out with the club's owner Randy Lerner.  

Bernstein and King wrote to Villa chairman Steve Hollis on Monday, tendering their resignations with immediate effect.

It can now be revealed that their decisions were the result of a highly unpleasant exchange with Lerner.

After joining Villa in March and February respectively, Bernstein and King grew increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress they were able to make.

Hibs will recall first-choice keeper Mark Oxley in place of Scottish Cup semi-final hero Conrad Logan for Wednesday's rearranged Championship game. But they could be without Farid El Alagui, who limped out of the Hampden game with a groin injury, while Danny Carmichael and Dylan McGeouch are still out.

Rangers will welcome back wingers Billy King and Michael O'Halloran, both cup-tied for their victory over Celtic. Martyn Waghorn and Harry Forrester are still out but Rob Kiernan is fit.

The match comes four weeks before the sides meet in the Scottish Cup final on 21 May.

With the Hornets playing Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend, Quique Sanchez Flores is going to change his team around. Because of that, I am backing West Ham.

Prediction: 2-0

Six of England's Grand Slam-winning squad are among the nominations for the 2016 European player of the year award.

Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, George Kruis, Billy Vunipola, Jack Clifford and Elliot Daly are all on the 15-man list alongside Wales wing George North.

World Cup winner Dan Carter, Australia's George Smith and Exeter Chiefs' Thomas Waldrom are included.

The 2014 winner Steffon Armitage, Toulon team-mate Guilhem Guirado, Fijian Vereniki Goneva, New Zealand's Charles Piutau and Argentina's Juan Imhoff complete the list.

The winner will be announced during May's European finals weekend in Lyon.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic: "No matter which team they put out we need a win. The gap [to fourth place] is big, but the gap can be reduced. We are still in a big race for Europe and we are going to do everything we can."

Watford head coach Quique Sanchez Flores: "We will use a lot of new players but I am completely confident in the first XI I will pick; I am really curious how we can develop, and the characteristics of the players."

Chris Sutton says Ronny Deila should have been removed as Celtic boss before now.

The Norwegian will leave his job at the end of the season, the announcement coming three days after his side lost to Rangers in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

"Celtic should have made the [managerial] change before the January window, but they didn’t," said Sutton, a former Parkhead striker.

 "There has been a regression, they’re on the decline and they need someone to come in and shake things up. In Europe, Celtic have failed time and time again, in the big games Celtic have failed time and time again. Ronny’s a nice guy, but enough is enough."
