    A woman whose cottage was nearly destroyed in a series of arson attacks a year ago says she's delighted to finally move back home.

  7. Two arrested in Barton drugs raids

    Two people from Barton have been arrested on drugs offences after police raided a top floor flat this morning.

    It happened in Underhill Circus at about 09:00.

    Crack cocaine and cannabis were seized.

  10. Oxford City Farm planning approved

    Oxford has moved one step closer to getting a working farm built in the city with planning approved in the Florence Park area.

    The £1million project will take years to complete but, once finished, it will give local children the chance to learn about food production and interact with the animals for free.

  11. Alan Rickman 'could not have been more kind or generous'

    A student who organised a charity fundraising YouTube video featuring Alan Rickman says the actor "was really amazing" for giving them his time, just two months before he died from cancer.

  14. Weather warning for ice issued

    A Met Office Yellow warning for ice has been issued for Oxfordshire.

    The warning, which means 'be aware', runs from 17:00 to 10:00 on Saturday.

  15. Oxford scientists get £675,000 to back medical research

    Fifteen scientists from Oxford will receive £15,000 a year over three years to support medical research into a range of illnesses.

    The money comes from the NHS's National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), and will go to specialists working in genetics, childhood vaccines, eye surgery, skin conditions and nursing.

    Meanwhile, the NIHR has launched a study into gender equality, taking place at Oxford Biomedical Research Centre and and the NIHR BRC at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London.
