Shane Meadows on "This Is England 90"

Director Shane Meadows discussed working with the This Is England 90 series and why the programme has struck a chord with its audience.

"People have fallen in love with the characters over the series", Meadows said, adding "separately we're all potty, but together we seem to work," as a reason the chemistry between the actors has endured.

The series is set against the backdrop of the end of the Thatcher years and the beginnings of rave culture.
