The money awarded to Glenis Freeman and her family after her husband Roger was killed in a cattle field in 2010 is a "significant sum" her solicitors have said.
The owner of the cattle was found not guilty of manslaughter after a trial in Nottingham in 2014.

Lisa Preece, from Nelson's Solicitors, said: "Farmers should think very carefully about the livestock that they intend to graze in a field with public access.
"If they could pose a danger, then they should be grazed elsewhere.”

Murder file against Robert Black submitted to CPS

A file of evidence linking the serial killer Robert Black to the 1978 murder of Genette Tate has been handed to prosecutors by Devon and Cornwall police.
Officers said they had been weeks away from charging Black when he died in prison in Northern Ireland earlier this year.
In 1994, Black was found guilty of three child murders in the 1980s, as well as a failed abduction bid in Nottingham in 1988.

Man found unconscious in street

A man is still in a serious condition, nearly a month after he was found unconscious in a Nottingham street with a head injury.
Police said the 31-year-old was found in Noel Street on 10 March at about 17:40.
He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, where doctors found he had a serious head injury.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious.
