Planned pathway at Delapre Abbey will take six to eight weeks to finish
The latest stage in the work to prepare for the opening of Delapre Abbey will see a new footpath built, which will take an anticipated six to eight weeks to complete.
It is intended the path will be able to cope with increased visitor numbers once the restoration is complete.

Delapre Abbey delay comes after council discovered £900,000 funding black hole
That delay came at the same time as the news it would cost the authority an extra £900,000 to complete the work.
Now the date has been put back again until February 2017.

The opening of Delapre Abbey has been delayed until February next year.

A £6.3m Heritage Lottery-funded scheme to restore the Abbey was originally set to be completed by summer 2016, when the building was due to open for the first time in 900 years.
But, according to the Delapre Abbey website, a "revised" date of Saturday, 11 February 2017 has now been set in order to "allow us to complete all the detailed restoration work".

A shoe company has celebrated its 150th anniversary by opening its first store outside of the UK - in New York.
Grenson shoes, of Rushden, already has several stores across the UK and says the new shop is a natural progression.
The New York outlet is 3,500 miles (5,633km) away from Grenson's Rushden roots.

What do the coasts of Cornwall and New York have in common?
They're both featured in the fashion of University of Northampton student Sean Leggett, whose final-year collection will represent the uni at this year’s Graduate Fashion Week.

The coastal clash design combined gold to represent Cornwall - as Sean associated it with a laid-back surfer-dude vibe - and silver for New York to represent the steel of the towering skyscrapers.

Headstone crushed by lead thieves
A headstone was crushed and destroyed by thieves stealing lead from a church roof.
The incident at Middleton Cheney was one of two at churches in the county over the past week. The other took place in Thenford.
Significant amounts of lead were taken and damage caused during the thefts.
Police say it is of great sentimental value to its owners, adding they believe it may have been transported in a Land Rover Freelander, registration KG03 OJJ, which was also stolen from the property.

The 'NoMoInNoHo' - or No Monster Incinerator in Northampton - has also raised objections over the size and environmental quality of the proposed plant.

Northampton Borough Council has given developer Rolton Kilbride a two-year option on St James' Westbridge Depot.
There is a clause in the agreement that would allow the authority to extend the option for a further period.
