Ken Bruce and Frank Renton present the final stage of the competition to find the next brass star, featuring four talented young players and the Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

Presented by Ken Bruce and Listen to the Band's Frank Renton this promises to be a night of tremendous music making and excitement as we reach the conclusion of our search for the next brass star. The 4 talented young players who perform for the title alongside the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band are Samuel Dye on trombone, Ben Goldscheider on French Horn, bass trombonist Kyle MacCorquodale and on Euphonium Daniel Thomas. Grimethorpe give their own concert featuring the fabulous OperaBabes as the judges decide who should take the coveted Award . The judges are Professor Edward Gregson, Tuba star Les Neish and Stephen Bell who following his time as principal horn with the BBC Concert Orchestra is now Associate Conductor Pops at The Halle Orchestra, and they announce, live on air who will take the Award for 2016.
