There is still one game left for all Championship sides but - barring the most ridiculous goal swing in Premier League history - the automatic promotion slots are sorted.

Plenty to play for underneath that though with Ipswich, Derby, Brentford and Wolves playing it out for the final two play-off spots. Plenty of promotion drama to come.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has finished on the tannoy and is now speaking to BBC Radio 5 live:

"This club was on its knees six years, we had nothing, A group of supporters put their money in their pockets to keep the club alive and they are reaping the rewards. It is the club I watched as kid, the club that gave me an opportunity in the game as a player and a manager. It shouldn't be them thanking me, It should be me thanking them. It is a family club and deserves its moment in the sun.

"It is never a journey we expected to go on but through some hard work and some investment we managed to do it. The players have been magnificent and an achievement they deserved."

Manager Eddie Howe takes to the tannoy system to speak his adoring public.

You can tell how much he is loved as a hush falls upon the Goldsands to listen to what their boss has to say.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe, speaking to Sky Sports: "I am an eternal pessimist but it would take some blow up from this position not to make it. We have one more game and we want to finish on a high.

"This club was heading nowhere, it was heading out of business and in such a short turnaround it is impressive. You don't achieve anything on your own. It has taken monumental effort from the players and coaching staff. Jason Tindall has been by my side all the way and it is a joint achievement.

"We would love to win the title. We will do our best to win the last game and see what happens."

Bournemouth assistant Jason Tindall: "It is an incredible achievement everyone has worked so hard. What a manager Eddie Howe is. The hard work he puts in, no-one deserves it more than him."

Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman on Cherries boss Eddie Howe: "Words can't describe how good a job he has done - ever since he took over that first game when we were in trouble. He has done a superb job."

On pipping Watford to the title next weekend: "We want to finish the job and win the title. We will enjoy today, tonight, tomorrow and hopefully they will slip up."

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn: "It is an absolutely incredible feeling, even for me this is achieving the impossible. For all football fans, this is the perfect story and hopefully it gives hope for every club that you can come back from oblivion and get to the Premier League.

Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick on BBC Radio 5 live: "It has not sunk in. We are just trying to be as professional as possible because we have a title to play for.

"I am so happy for the people who have been here for so long, but none more so than the gaffer. I can't tell you I how happy I am for him. He deserve a knighthood. I hope we have many, many years in the Premier League with him. Hopefully we have won a few new hearts and followers along the way."

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn on Sky Sports: "We have achieved the impossible. We have gone from the abyss in League Two to the Premier League - these guys are incredible.

"Eddie Howe has created a siege mentality and the boys have carried them up four divisions against the odds. The manager has an insatiable attitude to self development and the development of the team.

"He is calm and collected - and you can see that on the pitch. He wants to develop team in his own style."

On which team he is most looking forward to playing next season: "Manchester City. I've been a City fan all my life. I can't wait to go the Etihad next season and get three points."

The players are going to milk every moment of this and so they should.

One by one, the players' names are announced and they come onto the pitch to huge cheers.

A lot of the players have their children in the arms. as they come back out. Although Callum Wilson's little un doesn't look too impressed...

The fans are back in the stands. Now they are waiting for the re emergence of their heroes. Here they come....

Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick on Sky Sports: "It has been an unbelievable achievement from everyone at the club. The medical staff, the analysts, the manager - what can you say about the manager?! And the lads of course, they have performed so well week in week out.

"We're up unless we concede 20 goals but we've got to be professional at Charlton and see the season out. The title is up for grabs and it would be nice to finish by lifting the trophy.

Bournemouth midfielder Matt Ritchie: "Winning promotion to the Premier League is a dream come true. The club's turnaround in the last few years has been unbelievable. "

"There are so many clubs who had this money and more and did nothing with it. Their accounts they lost about £14m but that just gave them a chance. They didn't have £14m when Eddie Howe got them promoted."

The fans are being ushered back into the stands to allow the players the opportunity to get back onto the pitch to soak up the acclaim. Smiles all round the dressing room as the players perform the obligatory jigging up and down moves.

Chairman Jeff Mostyn is loving it. He is mobbed by the players before voicing his delight in a way I couldn't possibly publish...

If anyone is waiting up at home for their loved ones to get back from the Goldsands this evening, I wouldn't bother. They are going to be some time yet.

Middlesbrough can still get the same amount of points as the Cherries but to over take them they would need to improve a goal difference which is 19 goals worse than Bournemouth's.

You get the feeling manager Eddie Howe will never have to buy a beer in Bournemouth again.

What a job the former Cherries player has done. The club were languishing in League Two when he was appointed eight years ago and now they are Premier League bound.

Stunning.

It is all one-way traffic now. Bolton just want the final whistle as Bournemouth continue to come at them.

Having said that, I think a few Bournemouth fans are just waiting for the whistle too. There is a party to be had.

A chance to seal Premier League promotion as Callum Wilson is hacked down by Dorian Dervite when through on goal.

Midway through the second half and Bournemouth are well in control. There would be some misery around this evening if the Cherries managed to throw this one away now.

Bournemouth simply don't know how to settle for what they have got. They keep coming forward and Harry Arter fires a shot from 25 yards well, well over and wide. You get the feeling the Cherries will win a lot of admirers next season.

On text: Back in the 90s when I was a young kid I used to go to Dean Court where we had a whole family row, sat on wooden benches. I used to watch Luther Blissett and hope that one day we could get to the top but never really thought we could make it. Never supported another team and never felt this nervous, come on you cherries! My Granpop was a lifelong fan, he passed away this year in his late nineties and we had his wake at the stadium! I hope we do it for Jo Gilbert!

Wait a minute though. There is still a game to win. Bolton's Barry Bannan has an 18-yard shot deflected wide for a corner. That could have gone anywhere.

The resulting corner is cleared. A Bolton goal would make this a little bit more nervy.

Bournemouth fans will remember this day for a very long time. Eight years ago, the club looked like they were heading out of the Football League. Now, they look certain to be in the top flight next season.

A win leaves them three points clear in second with a game to go, with a goal difference 18 better than Middlesbrough's.

Will Watson: As a lifelong Bournemouth fan through thick and mostly thin, this is unreal. All hail King Eddie.

Bolton immediately hit back and Emile Heskey's low cross from the right is deflected into Artur Boruc's grasp.

Cheeky from Yann Kermorgant. The striker, who has scored more match-winning goals than any other player in the Championship, dinks the ball goalwards from 20 yards but it sails over the bar.

The longer this goes on, the more nervy the evening will get at the Goldsands. Bolton are playing like a team with very little pressure and appear to be enjoying themselves.

David in Bournemouth on text: As a Newcastle fan living in Bournemouth, it would be typical for the Cherries to be promoted and Newcastle go down. Been wishing for that fixture to come here for years.

George in Abingdon. I really want Bournemouth to go up... Partly so that they can't put 5 past Fulham every time but also because they genuinely deserve it.

It comes to nothing as Bolton gratefully smack the ball up the other end of the pitch.

The quality football is coming from the hosts and they almost take the lead as Harry Arter's cross from the left is headed over from close range by Yann Kermorgant.

Mathematically, Middlesbrough could still catch Bournemouth on points but, with their goal difference 16 worse, the Cherries would surely be up.

Middlesbrough and Norwich fans will have been given a little bit of encouragement from the opening 15 minutes. There have been chances for both sides as Bolton look anything but ready to roll over. This could be tasty.

What a start to the match this is. Bournemouth go straight up the other and Matt Ritchie looks certain to open the scoring as the ball falls to him 10 yards out.

Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bodgan reacts quickly though and smothers the shot wide.

Relief for Bournemouth. Dorian Dervite is left unmarked to head across goal but Adam Le Fondre can't quite get a touch at the far post. Linesman's flag is raised for offside anyway.

A rare break by Bolton as Adam Le Fondre looks to latch on to Emile Heskey's flick-on. Steve Cook tidies up and hacks clear for the hosts.

The visitors keep pressing though and force a corner. Nervy moments...

Things calming down a little bit after a frantic start. Bolton will just be relieved to survive that early spell from the hosts.

It almost comes as Adam Bogdan just beats Yann Kermorgant to a loose ball.

What a start that could have been. Callum Wilson bursts down the left, cuts inside but - with just Adam Bogdan to beat - he shoots straight at the goalkeeper and the ball is deflected wide.

That would have calmed some nerves.

BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan at the Goldsands: "According to the local paper one Bournemouth fan was offered £2,000 for a pair of tickets to this evening's game at Dean Court. He declined and who can blame him? The Cherries are on the verge of all but reaching the top flight of English football for the first time in their history and understandably there is not a spare seat in the house as no one wants to miss this piece of club history.

"The minute's silence was perfectly observed and was met by a huge roar that has not stopped since kick off. Incredible atmosphere here at Goldsands Stadium on what could be a memorable night. "

So what does promotion to the Premier League mean financially?

It is estimated to be worth between £100m to £120m - mostly thanks to the lucrative TV deal.

Not bad for a club like Bournemouth who lost £15.3m in the financial year ending in June 2013.

Remember a win and the Cherries will be in the Premier League - unless Middlesbrough pull off a 16-goal swing in the final game. Game on.

Firs though a minute's silence for those who lost their lives in the Bradford fire 30 years ago.

Bolton will be fairly relieved they go into tonight's match with nothing to play for - having been in the relegation zone before Neil Lennon's appointment as manager in October.

The ex-Celtic boss has steadied the ship and steered them away from the drop.

He tells Sky Sports: "We are here to win the game and if we do someone a favour, so be it."

The teams are out and the Goldsands is absolutely bouncing. Balloons, scarves and plenty of songs. A great atmosphere.

Bournemouth may be leading the way in terms of goals scored this season but they only just squeeze onto the list of the top six scorers in the league this season.

Unsurprisingly, Bournemouth were recognised in this season's PFA Championship team of the year.

Winger Matt Ritchie - who has scored 12 goals this season - and right-back Simon Francis are in the side from the Cherries.

Ritchie was at Swindon Town in 2013, while Francis was at Charlton two seasons earlier.

Mr Hind: Yes Bournemouth have spent a lot but so did Wigan and they are going down. Plus Tubbs was a bit of a flop. Give credit!

Montymadman: Come on Cherries! Watching nervously from Northern Germany before returning for next season after 8 years. Fingers crossed!

Move over Harry Redknapp.

The former Tottenham and QPR boss used to be considered Bournemouth's best ever manager but surely that title has long since gone?

Current boss Eddie Howe, 37, has only been a manager for six years but has already achieved enough to be named as the first Football League manager of the decade.

In two spells - together with assistant Jason Tindall - he has guided them to Football League safety and promotion into League One the following season. After leaving to manage Burnley he returned and led them from near the foot of League One to promotion in the Championship and now the brink of the Premier League. Incredible stuff.

It would be easy to miss but this evening's match is also huge for already-promoted Watford.

A Bolton victory would hand the Hornets the title with a game to go, so the champagne will be on ice in Hertfordshire this evening.

Middlesbrough and Norwich were both well in the hunt for automatic promotion ahead of this weekend's Championship fixtures, being level on points and two behind Bournemouth respectively.

But a thrilling 4-3 defeat at Fulham for Middlesbrough and a disappointing 1-1 draw at Rotherham for Norwich on Saturday gifted Watford promotion and puts Bournemouth in pole position for the second spot.

Bournemouth could become arguably the smallest club in the history of the Premier League - with a ground capacity of just 11,700. It has to be noted they have had a bit - or a lot - of financial help in recent years though.

Little is known of Bournemouth's mystery Russian billionaire owner Maxim Demin but there can be no complaints about the cash he has spent to help the south coast club get where they are.

Buying the club in 2011, he has yet to give an interview but win tonight and maybe the man who made his money in petrochemicals will finally be tempted out of the shadows.

The club were so penniless in 1997 they required a bucket collection to survive and just seven years ago they five minutes from liquidation.

Okay, mathematically Middlesbrough could still catch you on the final day of the season but, with Boro currently 16 goals worse off, victory will secure the Cherries Premier League football for the first time in their history.
