Is Nigeria Becoming More Tolerant to Homosexuality?

In Nigeria the majority of people are still opposed to homosexuality, but a recent survey of 1000 adults found that attitudes may be slowly changing. The survey by NOI Polls, the Bisi Alimi Foundation and the NGO ‘The Initiative for Equal Rights’ found that 87% of people said they supported the current law which bans same sex relationships but five years ago that figure was higher – back then 96% opposed relationships between same sex couples. So could there be a slow shift towards more tolerance? Bisi Alimi is a Nigerian gay rights activist.
